Fantasy Sequence continued
There is no warmup for this exercise. The definition of event is as follows:
"Something that takes place; an occurrence. b. A significant occurrence or happening."
The definition of fantasy is as follows:
" Something, such as an invention, that is a creation of the fancy. 3. A capricious or fantastic idea; a conceit. 4.a. Fiction characterized by highly fanciful or supernatural elements"
In this exercise, however, I ask you to downplay certain elements of these definitions.
The event should be significant enough to write about, yes, but it still can be trivial. Don't get carried away!
Therefore, a simple imaginative event based upon one or more of your own warmup exercises.
One final note before you begin. If you are like most creative people, you will be sorely tempted to exceed the requirements of this exercise. If you must you must, but I strongly suggest you do the exercise as it is presented here first.
And now, good luck. Point of view? Your choice, first or third, but please stay in your own ball park.
End of fantasy sequence.
